- October 14, 2022
No one has fought more fiercely and ran a guts-to-glory campaign in Langley Township than Michael Chang, who is looking for your vote on Saturday to make history as the first ever Asian councilor in the Township. Chang has been everywhere in Langley, knocking on doors, attending debates, taking in every event and rallying with supporters to win the hearts of Township voters and his effort is being noticed and voters need to come out to support him to put him in the group of eight winners.

LANGLEY – No one has fought more fiercely and ran a guts-to-glory campaign in Langley Township than Michael Chang, who is looking for your vote on Saturday to make history as the first ever Asian councilor in the Township.
Chang has been everywhere in Langley, knocking on doors, attending debates, taking in every event and rallying with supporters to win the hearts of Township voters and his effort is being noticed and voters need to come out to support him to put him in the group of eight winners.
He’s proven in the past that he can get out the vote as delivered record number of votes for the NDP when he ran in the last federal election from the Langley-Aldergrove area and he is hoping to be making history come October 15 to be the first Korean-Canadian to be ever elected to council in Langley-Township.
Chang is working extremely hard to get his name and recognition out there and he has considerable support given that he got over 10,000 vote as an NDP candidate which is a record for the party.
Chang told DESIBUZZCanada that he will fight for meaningful action on the issues that matter to people in Langley and Aldergrove – paving the way for more affordable senior housing, build a robust and sustainable local economy by helping small businesses and pushing for a farm-based community for the long run.
He is devoted to take Langley-Township to it’s next phase of evolution by helping both the film studios (which are already being built by Martini Studios) to helping create a viable tech sector and tech hub in the Township so that it’s attractive for young people to make the area their home.
Chang, who was born in South Korea and immigrated to Canada in 2006, is deeply committed to community service and has worked with a wide variety of local organizations to champion diversity, veteran’s rights, and music education.
