On November 8th 2016, the world so a historic election, where the Unites States of America decided Donald J. Trump to be its 45th President. When the results started coming out by midnight, there was a tsunami of posts of fear and hatred in the social media against him. The world started panicking as if the dooms day has arrived, there were protests and demonstrations in various parts of the globe. I personally place myself leaning more towards democrats than republican, I believe in liberal values, but this election I enjoyed the republican candidate more. The reason behind this could be his celebrity status, connect with the people, and the issues he raised which somewhere down the road made sense. I did disagree with many of his comments and policies, but he had the charisma to attract my attention in many other issues.

Hillary Clinton seriously lacked charisma compared to Trump, she did not have that Charisma to be the President of United States. I feel Bernie Sanders could have defeated trump easily. Clinton was in the system for so long, it is the biggest asset she has, but this asset also turned against her because the voters were bored of the same system and were looking for real change. Trump showcased himself as an aggressive president , concentrated mainly people’s day to day issues. For example, I come a from a strict Muslim family , I condemn radical Muslims. Islam is a religion of peace and all Muslims must come forward to condemn radical lunatics. But Hillary seemed she wanted to be politically correct.

As we know in democracy the administration is of the people, by the people, and for the people. This is the time when the world must come out together and show our tolerance towards people who differ from us. Let us respect people’s mandate. How can one man can change the entire world ? According to Professor Touss Sepeher of FDU ” presidents come and go , but the values and constitution of the United States remains the same”. Trump can be as flamboyant as he wants to be , but somewhere his heart would had sensed this huge responsibility of protecting every citizen and to fulfill every promise he made during his election campaign. In my personal view, there is no need of any protests for now , lets give trump a chance to govern, he is not stupid for sure. Despite differing from his views I am giving my faith and trust to Mr. Trump, and I hope he will work hard not only for the white Americans, but also for the Latin Americans, African Americans, Muslim Americans, and people from every sects. His victory speech was outstanding so far, lets wait and watch for his next moves.  But yes if he does something wrong, I will be the first person to protest against him.
