“You can’t take our country — and you can’t take our game,” Prime Minister Justin Trudeau!

Canada retained superiority over Our Game by defeating the big bad USA, sorry soon to be our 11th province, at the Four Nations Cup hockey tourney last night.

It was also good to see Prime Minister Justin Trudeau high fiving and enjoying a big victory over his nemesis President, sorry Premier Donald Trump, wishing why didn’t he come sooner into his political life to save it.

Trump has totally rejuvenated Trudeau who has shown leadership and statesmanship in this era of Trump idiocy of tariffs and threats to Canada’s sovereignty. This has given Trudeau a great way to exit and leave on a positive note after a disastrous downturn, largely of his own making with scandals, waste and corruption. Also Woke is good but woke on steroids is not recommended.

But he will soon hand the Liberal baton to an accomplished and competent economic leader Mark Carney who by all accounts should be Prime Minister on March 9 (Liberals kicked out female Trump wannabe Ruby Dhalla on Friday for irregularities and possible foreign interference).

Carney should give the one-note Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre (PP) a run for his money in the spring election which was supposed to be lop-sided victory for the Cons, who were bragging of over 200 seats, but now it looks like it could be another minority government for either the Carney-led Liberals or the Conservatives.

Most Centre and Centre-Right voters know that Carney is the right man for what Canada needs at this critical juncture in our country’s history and that means Poilievre will be sent to the dust bin of history with a multi-million dollar pension thanks to being a career politician.

I like NDP leader Jagmeet Singh but he’s also headed out of the leadership following the coming election but Singh has had a great run and has gotten Canadians many things from the governing Liberals.

While Canada sets its political future with the coming election, let’s savour this sweet hockey victory that comes at a critical moment in Canadian history where we showed the world that Canada is proud and free and truly a beacon of hope for the Free World!

And Trudeau’s iconic statement aimed at Trump following Team Canada's win will forever be ingrained into the Canadian psyche and become part of a rallying cry for Canada’s sovereignty: “You can’t take our country — and you can’t take our game.”
