SURREY - Surrey's business community gave generously at the Surrey Board of Trade's annual Seasonal Sizzle Business Reception on December 8.
The event raised over $11,000 and 837 lbs of food for the Surrey Food Bank, in partnership with the Full Cupboard. Over 500 business representatives attended the return of this popular Christmas event, sponsored by Envision Financial and the Varing Marketing Group, donating in lieu of admission fees.
"Thank you to all of the businesses that attended this annual Christmas event for the business community and for digging deep into your pockets to support the Surrey Food Bank," said Anita Huberman, President & CEO, Surrey Board of Trade.
"The Surrey Food Bank provides food to families living in Surrey and North Delta. They have been facing increased demand for their services as inflation surges. Businesses have a role to give back to the community and help those in need."
