ONE STEP CLOSER: Elite Young Surrey Boxer Eric Basran Headed To Tokyo Olympics Qualifying Round After Wins In Montreal

According to Eric Basran’s mother Vicky, her son fought back to back matches on Thursday against Jean Gardy Francois of Quebec and Leo Kamara of Ontario on Friday in the 57 kg category. And we are happy to report that Basran won both fights with a unanimous decision, winning his spot to compete in Argentina in March at the Olympic qualifiers. Basran is a 4 times gold medalist at the Canadian Boxing Nationals.
SURREY – Top young Indo-Canadian boxer Eric Basran has passed another test on his way to qualifying for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
The 2019 Canadian Boxing Qualification were held in Montreal on December 16-20 at Le Westin Montreal hotel. The best Elite boxers across Canada took part in the Qualification events scheduled for next spring.
