Indo-canadian Uber Driver Charged With Sex Assault Found Not Guilty And All Charges Dropped

Fahmy Saggaf of Toronto was charged with sexual assault and sexual interference after a 15-year-old girl told police she was assaulted by an Uber driver. Police say passenger was allegedly attacked in a vehicle after she was picked up from the downtown bus station. However, another South Asian Uber driver charged with forcible confinement, kidnapping and assault in an incident that happened on May 21, 2017 has had all his charges dropped. The kidnapping charge against Sukhbaj Singh of Belleville, Ont., was withdrawn on July 21, 2018 at the request of the Crown. As well, he was found not guilty of unlawful confinement and assault on Oct. 25, 2018 by the Ontario Court of Justice.

On May 18, Fahmy Saggaf, 41, was charged with sexual assault and sexual interference.
He is scheduled to appear in court in June.
