VANCOUVER – The local Gujarati community is putting on one of the biggest cultural festivals in North America which begins with a bang next Tuesday, August 30, at the PNE as excitement builds to a fevered pitch with shows already selling out and people are scrambling like crazy for many hot ticket events.

The festival opens on Tues, Aug 30  with the Spirit of Gujarat! From 11am – 7pm. Come and immerse yourself in culture through the traditional display of art, dance, music, parades, mehndi, decor, and booths selling traditional gujarati handicrafts and jewellery! Senior Ladies Garba Group grace the stage at 12pm, Fashion show at 2pm, Festival inauguration is at 5pm where you will get to meet and greet Ankush Arora from Yeh Vaada Raha and Bollywood singing sensation Sumeet Tappoo. Come and support GSBC's own award-winning promotional garba team who will be leading a garba workshop at 5.15pm!

Over 13,000 are expected to attend on opening day, bring your family and friends, don't miss it!
