Toronto Man Kanav Bhatia Arrested For Sexual Assault And Child Luring Investigation

An Indo-Canadian man from Toronto has been arrested for sexual arrest and child luring. Region of Peel Investigators from the Special Victims Unit have charged Kanav Bhatia following a child luring and sexual assault investigation. Between March 23 and April 1, it is alleged that the accused lured and sexually assaulted two young females under the age of 16. The suspect utilized social media to lure and engage with the young victims.

TORONTO – An Indo-Canadian man from Toronto has been arrested for sexual arrest and child luring.
Region of Peel – Investigators from the Special Victims Unit have charged Kanav Bhatia following a child luring and sexual assault investigation.
Between March 23 and April 1, it is alleged that the accused lured and sexually assaulted two young females under the age of 16. The suspect utilized social media to lure and engage with the young victims.
On Friday, April 4, Kanav Bhatia, a 24-year-old man from Toronto was arrested and charged with the following criminal offences:
Sexual Assault X2
Sexual Interference X2
Making Child Pornography
Transmit Child Pornography
Possession of Child Pornography
Luring a Person Under 16 X4
Luring a Person Under 18
Kanav Bhatia was held for a bail hearing and appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
Investigators believe there may be additional victims and are urging anyone with information to call the Special Victims Unit at 905-453-2121, extension 3460.
