Surrey RCMP Media Relations Officer Cpl Joanie Sidhu is taking her leave from the force to have a baby, the police service announced this week. “A big congratulations to our Media Relations Officer Cpl Joanie Sidhu as she prepares for her upcoming maternity leave,” Surrey RCMP wrote on Facebook. “Joanie has been a tremendous asset to our team, bringing her extensive experience in Major Crime, legal knowledge, Punjabi language skills, as well as a great enthusiasm for learning.
