Richmond Shooting Leaves One Man Dead

At approximately 8:30 pm, Richmond RCMP were called to a report of shots heard in a park near the area of Moncton St at No.1 Rd. Police arrived on scene and located a male victim suffering from gunshots.
RICHMOND – Richmond shooting Thursday night has left a man dead after he was found suffering from gunshot wounds.
At approximately 8:30 pm, Richmond RCMP were called to a report of shots heard in a park near the area of Moncton St at No.1 Rd. Police arrived on scene and located a male victim suffering from gunshots.
The man was rushed to a local area hospital and has now succumbed to his injuries. As such, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) is currently en route and will be taking conduct of the file in partnership with the Richmond RCMP Serious Crime Unit (SCU) and Watch General Investigative Services (WGIS).
In the meantime, the area around the park has been cordoned off for the police investigation. Traffic in the area is not affected.
