Claude Joli-Coeur, Film Commissioner of the National Film Board of Canada and Mina Shum, director of the NFB film Ninth Floor, accepting the award, honouring the achievement of women in media. It was a lovely show with a standing ovation for winners: Joli-Coeur and Rachel Talalay. Mina Shum’s acceptance speech brought tears to everyone’s eyes as well.
