Vigil For Asifa!
- April 20, 2018
POSTED BY: DESIBUZZCANADA APRIL 20, 2018
Over 500 people including kids, teens, young and old of all religious backgrounds joined the emotional and solemn gathering of Candle Light Vigil for Asifa Banu in Surrey's Holland Park Thursday evening. The 8-year-old Asifa was raped by Hindu priests at the Kathua temple in Jammu and Kashmir. The “culture” of rape in India has to be nipped. That was the message reflected thru the banners, powerful and compelling speeches, poetry recitations, and the sombre expressions on the faces attending the event. Hope India gets the message as it is currently the RAPE CAPITAL of the world.
