Transit Police Searching For A South Asian Man Who Assaulted Fellow Bus Passenger

The Bus assault occurred after the assailant, described as a South Asian man, became angry and punched the victim, when the victim offered him a mask, as masks are now required on transit vehicles. The Victim asked if the assailant had a medical exemption to which the assailant allegedly responded to by punching the victim.

SURREY – Transit police are searching for a South Asian man who assaulted a fellow bus passenger after a dispute over wearing a mask
Lower mainland transit police say they are searching for the assailant for an alleged assault which occurred on a bus on route 312 in the area of 96 Avenue and 120th Street in Surrey Saturday September 26th, 2020.
The assault occurred after the assailant became angry and punched the victim, when the victim offered him a mask, as masks are now required on transit vehicles. The Victim asked if the assailant had a medical exemption to which the assailant allegedly responded to by punching the victim.
