TARGETED KILLING: Pritpal Singh Identified As Man Shot Dead In Surrey

On April 7, 2020 at 12:43 a.m., 21-year-old Pritpal Singh was shot and killed outside a residence in the 8800-block of 138A Street in Surrey, B.C.

SURREY –Surrey had it’s first targeted shooting during the COVID-19 pandemic when all activity including gangland shootings were taken to isolation and stopped.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) is calling on the public to help further its ongoing investigation of the homicide of Pritpal Singh in Surrey, B.C.
On April 7, 2020 at 12:43 a.m., 21-year-old Pritpal Singh was shot and killed outside a residence in the 8800-block of 138A Street in Surrey, B.C.
IHIT continues to work with the Surrey RCMP, the Integrated Forensic Identification Services and the B.C. Coroners Service to gather evidence.
Investigators are working to determine motive. This incident is not believed to be related to the ongoing Lower Mainland gang conflict.
Police earlier said the initial indications are that this was a targeted shooting. There are no indications of a continued threat to the public as a result of this incident. This is Surrey’s second homicide of the year.
The area surrounding the scene was cordoned off for a significant amount of time. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called and will be working in partnership with the Surrey RCMP.
Police has concluded gathering the evidence and said no further information will be provided at this time.
