SURREY - DESIBUZZCanada publisher-editor and award-winning filmmaker R. Paul Dhillon met up his actor-producer friend Joti Sahota and Sahota’s friend - the Punjabi film star Binnu Dhillon - to discuss some projects and talk shop on everything film.
Dhillon and Dhillon discussed their upcoming films and how everyone is waiting for theatres to fully open so the industry can get back to the business of cinema.
- Paul Dhillon said it’s tough for some producers who have their money stuck in films completed and under production but are helpless under the current global pandemic conditions to move forward with any certainty.
“Corona has damaged the film world globally and for smaller regional cinema like Punjabi it’s even more painful. Nothing comes without pain so stay positive and we will beat the virus and get back to a new world,” R. Paul Dhillon told Punjabifilmworld.
Dhillon said he is working on a number of Punjabi and English language projects and hope to start production on a project soon. “Corona has definitely delayed many projects so we are waiting to see that hopefully things improve more before we start production,” he said.
