Surrey Shooting Leaves Two Seriously Injured On Friday

Another shooting in the Indo-Canadian dominated part of Surrey-Newton area has left two people seriously injured which police believe is gang related. On January 28, 2022 at approximately 6:45 pm, Surrey RCMP Frontline officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 12200-block of 80B Avenue. Two people were located with serious injuries consistent with gunshot wounds. Both adult male victims were transported to hospital for medical treatment.

SURREY – Another shooting in the Indo-Canadian dominated part of Surrey-Newton area has left two people seriously injured which police believe is gang related.
RCMP said Friday a shooting in Newton where two males have sustained serious injuries.
On January 28, 2022 at approximately 6:45 pm, Surrey RCMP Frontline officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 12200-block of 80B Avenue. Two people were located with serious injuries consistent with gunshot wounds. Both adult male victims were transported to hospital for medical treatment.
It is believed the suspect/(s) fled the area in a vehicle. At this point police do not have a description of the vehicle or suspect/(s) to release to the public.
The Surrey RCMP General Investigation Unit has taken conduct of the investigation. The investigation is in its early stages, and initial indications are that this was a targeted shooting. Police will be working in the area for some time to collect any evidence and canvas for potential witnesses or CCTV.
