Surrey Shooting Leaves One Injured In Guildford Area

A shooting in Surrey Wednesday evening has left one man injured. The apparent victim fled the scene in a vehicle was located in the 14800 block of Fraser Highway. The victim was determined to have a non life-threatening gunshot wound, and has been transported to a local area hospital. The victim is well-known to police, and is believed to be involved in the drug trade.

SURREY – A shooting in Surrey Wednesday evening has left one man injured.
Surrey RCMP was on the scene in the Guildford area of Surrey for a report of shots being fired. At approximately 5:50 pm, on July 5th, 2023, Surrey RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in the 15800 block of 80th avenue. Initial reports indicate that a group of males shot at another group of males.
The apparent victim fled the scene in a vehicle was located in the 14800 block of Fraser Highway. The victim was determined to have a non life-threatening gunshot wound, and has been transported to a local area hospital.
The victim is well-known to police, and is believed to be involved in the drug trade.
Officers are conducting neighborhood canvassing and speaking with witnesses to obtain further information. The investigation is still in its early stages, but Surrey RCMP is currently of the belief that the two groups of males were known to each other, and the shooting is targeted.
Anyone with more information, including dash cam footage, in the area of Fleetwood Park in the 15800 block of 80th avenue is asked to contact Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502.
