Surrey Rcmp Issues Warrant Against South Asian Man Wanted In December 2018 Stabbing

The Surrey RCMP General Investigation Unit advanced the investigation and on January 25, 2019, the BC Prosecution Service approved charges, including attempted murder, against 21-year old Anhad Singh Virk, of Surrey.
SURREY – Surrey RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance to locate the suspect, described as a South Asian man, in a stabbing which occurred on December 13, 2018 in the Newton area of Surrey.
The stabbing, which occurred outside of a business in the 13400 block 72 Avenue, shortly after 5:00 pm, resulted in serious injuries to a man in his 50s. The suspect fled the scene prior to police being called.
Police believe this incident was a targeted attack.
The Surrey RCMP General Investigation Unit advanced the investigation and on January 25, 2019, the BC Prosecution Service approved charges, including attempted murder, against 21-year old Anhad Singh Virk, of Surrey.
An arrest warrant has been issued, and police are now seeking help from the public to locate Anhad Virk.
Anhad Virk is described as a South Asian male, 19 years old, 6’ tall, 190lbs, with black hair, and brown eyes. (photo attached)
