Following an intense six-month investigation, police identified a large-scale, sophisticated drug operation, allegedly supplying large volumes of illicit drugs throughout the province.

SURREY – The new provincial joint police taskforce on drugs have taken four major drug pushers off the streets who are accused of supplying street level drugs like fentanyl and cocaine.

In February of 2025, the RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit (SPOSU) Drug Section began an investigation into an illicit drug line, suspected to be supplying street level quantities of fentanyl and cocaine.

Following an intense six-month investigation, police identified a large-scale, sophisticated drug operation, allegedly supplying large volumes of illicit drugs throughout the province.

On September 10, 2025, RCMP SPOSU officers executed a search warrant at a residence located in the Guildford neighbourhood of Surrey, with the assistance of the Lower Mainland Integrated Emergency Response Team. During the execution of the search warrant, investigators discovered processing and packaging equipment within one suite of the basement level of the residence allegedly being used to process and package the illicit drugs.

Four individuals were arrested, and investigators seized over 56 kilograms of illicit drugs and cutting agents including the following:

24 kilograms of suspected methamphetamine

9 kilograms of suspected fentanyl

7.5 kilograms of suspected caffeine

7.6 kilograms of suspected buffing agent

3 kilograms of suspected crack cocaine

2.6 kilograms of suspected cocaine

2 kilograms of suspected benzodiazepine

Investigators have seized over $1 million dollars in valued assets connected to this operation, including two pick-up trucks, two SUV's, a car, a motorhome, two quads, two jet-skis and one off-road side by side vehicle along with approximately $54,000 cash. These items are believed to be offence-related property and/or proceeds of crime.

"This drug seizure represents a significant disruption to the local drug trade in Surrey," says Superintendent Ryan Element, Community Services Officer for RCMP SPOSU. "Investigators believe the suspected drugs were being supplied to communities from the Lower Mainland right into the Okanagan."

"Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit is committed to seeing the seizures of large-scale drug operations within the City of Surrey," says Chief Superintendent Wendy Mehat, Officer in Charge for RCMP SPOSU. "This is an example of the strong collaboration of multiple drug sections and major crime officers assigned to supporting Surrey Police Service operations in the city."

Investigators have concluded their investigation and are working to complete a comprehensive report to the Public Prosecution Service of Canada for consideration of charges.
