South Asian Driver Sought In Surrey Hit And Run Collision That Left 70-Year-Old Hurt

SURREY – A South Asian driver is sought in a Surrey crash that left an elderly man injured.
Surrey RCMP is seeking witnesses and video to assist in the investigation of a hit and run collision, in Newton last Sunday. Police are also appealing for the driver of the vehicle to come forward.
On March 21, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Surrey RCMP was notified of a pedestrian involved collision near the intersection of 144 Street and 76 Avenue. A 70-year-old man was walking in the area when a vehicle making a left turn struck him. The vehicle did not remain at the scene or stop to assist the pedestrian. The pedestrian sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital for care.
