Shah Rukh Khan Floored By The Talent Of Surrey-based Jugpreet Bajwa

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was astonished by the singing talent of a visually impaired contestant from Canada, our very own Jugpreet Bajwa from Surrey. Bajwa is stealing hearts in India, including Shah Rukh Khan's, with his mesmerizing and soulful voice. Bajwa was recently featured on the Grand Premiere of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa on Zee TV and has now made it past the initial round and into the round of 12 finalists. “Feeling so honoured to have gotten a standing ovation from the respected judges and jury today on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, India's biggest competition equivalent to American Idol,” Bajwa, who is legally blind, wrote on his facebook page. “Thank you all for the love and support. It has been nothing short of amazing the several messages that I've been getting. I hope people will enjoy the episodes back home.”

MUMBAI –Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who promoted his forthcoming film “Fan” on singing reality show “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa”, was astonished by the singing talent of a visually impaired contestant from Canada, Surrey’s own Jugpreet Bajwa.
Shah Rukh Khan made a grand entry by performing on the song “Jabra fan”.
When Jugpreet came on stage to perform on the song “Kal ho na ho”, Shah Rukh got impressed by his talent and joined him on stage to perform with him.
“Jugpreet is an inspiration to millions. Far from being visually impaired, I believe he has a vision that he is going after. I salute the grit and determination with which he’s surpassed the obstacles and challenges in his path and come this far,” Shah Rukh said in a statement.
Jugpreet said that it his long-standing dream to do playback for the “Chennai Express” star and asked if his dream can become a reality. Shah Rukh immediately went on to the stage and lip synced and spread his arms in his iconic pose to the beautiful track while Jugpreet sang for him.

Talking about the other contestants, Shah Rukh said: “It’s hard for me to believe that the contestants are so flawless in front of a live audience. I remember how the song ‘Apun bola’ from ‘Josh’ was broken down into a thousand pieces for me to be able to sing.”
“Sa Re Ga Ma Pa”, aired on Zee TV, features Sajid Ali, Wajid Ali, Pritam Chakraborty and Mika Singh, as mentors.
The episode featuring Shah Rukh will be air this Sunday, April 17.
