Hollywood star and activist Angelina Jolie met Canadian Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan on the sidelines of the UN Peacekeeping Defence Ministerial Conference in Vancouver where Jolie gave a powerful speech on Wednesday, pleading the UN to deploy more women troops to help stop sexual violence. Jolie was joined at the conference by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and some of his other senior Ministers. "I tried to shoot them in a romantic way as they looked good together and seemed to really appreciate each other's company," Dhillon said. Jolie also called on international conflict negotiators to take their role in preventing and punishing sexual violence more seriously. She also told those gathered to recognize sexual violence as a weapon and “a critical obstacle to achieving women’s equality and our full human rights.”
