Richmond Police Seek Help In Locating Indo-Canadian Trucker

Surinderjit Singh Mattu has disappeared, which is completely out of character, according to friends, family and co-workers.
RICHMOND – Richmond RCMP is seeking the public’s help in locating a missing Indo-Canadian trucker from the city.
Surinderjit Singh Mattu disappeared on Sunday which many family, friends and co-workers say is completely out of character.
Richmond RCMP is asking for the public’s help in finding the missing 58-year-old truck driver.
Mattu was reported missing on Sunday, Aug. 9 when he failed to show-up for work on Monday, July 20.
It appears he also failed to collect his pay cheque two days later, and failed to pay the August rent for his residence in the 11000 block of Bird Road.
Mattu has a history of medical issues, and may be disoriented.
He is described as:
- South Asian,
- 6'0 tall,
- medium build,
- clean shaven, with short brown hair
He was last seen wearing black jeans and a black t-shirt.
He may also be driving a grey, 2002, 4-door Honda Civic bearing B.C. license AN098S.
