Police Release Video-photo Of Turbaned Suspect Sought In Surrey Realtor Sexual Assault

The suspect is described as a South Asian male in his late 20’s to mid 40’s, 5’5” to 5’8” tall, with brown eyes and a dark brown well-groomed beard. He was wearing dark coloured pants, a light coloured shirt, a light grey jacket, a white turban, and he spoke with an accent.

SURREY – Surrey RCMP have released a video surveillance footage along with a still photo of the turbaned suspect in the sexual assault of a Surrey realtor that occurred on Saturday, April 30th.
Last week, they released released composite drawing of the suspect, who is still at large.
The sexual assault took place at a residence in the area of 128th Street and 92nd Avenue. The photo shows the suspect running northbound on 128th Street immediately after the incident, followed by the video capturing the suspect crossing the street heading westbound on 92nd Avenue.
The suspect is described as a South Asian male in his late 20’s to mid 40’s, 5’5” to 5’8” tall, with brown eyes and a dark brown well-groomed beard. He was wearing dark coloured pants, a light coloured shirt, a light grey jacket, a white turban, and he spoke with an accent.
Investigators have conducted a number of investigative tasks including speaking to multiple area residents, canvassing for video surveillance, and conducting a forensic examination.
This investigation continues to be a top priority for the Surrey RCMP’s Special Victims Unit (SVU).
Surrey RCMP has liaised with its real estate partners to ensure that safeguards are in place to help protect their employees. These include taking precautions and having a buddy system. More information is available for realtors through the British Columbia Real Estate Association’s website.
DESIBUZZbc has been leading the local press in reporting of the incident, where according to police, the woman realtor was attacked but managed to fight the unknown man off, and the suspect fled from the home. The victim did not sustain any injuries from the incident.
"She managed to fight him off and he fled," Sgt. Alanna Dunlop with Surrey RCMP said last week. "We conducted an investigation and searched the area very thoroughly but could not locate this male."
The Surrey RCMP conducted a thorough search of the area, but the suspect male was not located.
The investigation is active and is in the early stages. Investigators would like to hear from anyone that has any information about this sexual assault, and are seeking the assistance of the public to help identify the male suspect.
In October, 2007 another female real estate agent was showing a property in Surrey to two men she thought were prospective buyers but instead, was tied up and robbed before she was able to free herself and run to a nearby home for help.
