Surrey RCMP is welcoming Corporal Joanie Sidhu to their Media Relations and Communications Unit. Cpl Sidhu has over 10 years of policing experience with the RCMP. She started her career with the Mission RCMP where she worked frontline patrol and with the Serious Crimes Unit. In 2016 she transferred to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team, and was later promoted to the Surrey RCMP Legal Application Support Team. "I'm excited for the opportunity to explore a different side of policing as the Media Relations Officer for Surrey RCMP in such a diverse and progressive city. I'm looking forward to getting to know the community throughout this process," Sidhu said.
