However, this would have brought lot of destruction to America and rest of the world.  I was very happy when you got elected. I felt that if Hillary vClinton would have won the election then she was going to take America to a war with Russia and China, a war which America could not win. However, this would have brought lot of destruction to America and rest of the world. I thought you are a smart businessman and you will be good at making deals which may help America and the others.                                                                                                                                                       

The Russians and the Chinese seemed to be happy that you became the President. They felt that they could work better with you than with Hillary. Things seemed to be going in the right direction till you got tangled with North Korea. It is not always that the big guy wins. Let me share a joke which I heard in America quite a while ago.  A little black boy was talking to his mouse. He said “Mousie mousie I do not know what I am going to do with you. Am I going to rip off your tail or chop your head off”?                                                                                                                                                  

A big white Policeman was passing by and over heard this. He said to the little boy that he was going to do to him whatever he did to the mouse. The little boy turned to his mouse and said “Mousie mousie it is your lucky day I am going to kiss your ass”. Sometimes a little boy can outsmart a big man.                                                                                                                                                          

It is true that America can inflict a lot of damage to North Korea. However, the question is at what cost. North Korea can cause a very serious if not fatal damage to South Korea and Japan, two most important American allies in Asia. North Korea can also attack Guam. Imagine what kind of damage that can do to America’s prestige when a little country can attack its territory.                                                                                                                                                                                        

It may be true that China and Russia do not think too much of the North Korean leadership. However, they both have very strong reasons not to let America come out as a winner in this confrontation with North Korea.                                                                                                                     

China just scored a major victory in the ASEAN summit in Manila. America used Vietnam as its pawn to get a resolution against China passed on the issue of sovereignty over the islands in the South China Sea. Vietnam found itself totally isolated and rest of the ASEAN countries seemed to enthusiastically embrace China. How can we expect China to remain a silent spectator in its own backyard when it is trying to send a message to the whole world that Asia is now not an area under American influence. China cannot let America be seen as a victor in Asia, particularly in its own backyard.                                                                                                                                                                           

 Similarly Russia has a big stake in the outcome of this conflict. If America is seen as a winner in this conflict then America is not going to stop just there. It is very likely that America will try to unseat Assad in Syria. Russia cannot let that happen under any circumstance. Moreover, Russia owes one to China. China extended all out support to Russia in Syria. Now it is Russia’s turn to show China that it will not allow America to undermine China in its area of influence.                            

Mr. Trump kindly see that the situation can get out of control. Are you prepared for a Third World War in Asia which you cannot win? Please also remember that this is the area where the great American general Douglas Macarthur had to concede defeat. This area made the hero a zero.        

Mr. Trump for your own sake and for everyone else kindly think more before you act in Korea.
