A missing elderly South Asian man who went missing in May has been found dead by Richmond RCMP. “Richmond RCMP is saddened to report that missing 64-year old Nedunchellian Vasse Pushparaj (male) has been found deceased on May 19, 2022 in the 6800 block of Miller Rd. This incident is not considered suspicious,” the police force said on Friday. “The Richmond RCMP would like to thank the public and media for their assistance.”

RICHMOND – A missing elderly South Asian man who went missing in May has been found dead by Richmond RCMP.

“Richmond RCMP is saddened to report that missing 64-year old Nedunchellian Vasse Pushparaj (male) has been found deceased on May 19, 2022 in the 6800 block of Miller Rd. This incident is not considered suspicious,” the police force said on Friday. “The Richmond RCMP would like to thank the public and media for their assistance.”

Pushparaj was last seen walking away from Richmond General Hospital, in the 7000 block of Westminster Highway, at approximately 7:45 p.m. on May 9th.

Pushparaj was described as:

  •         A South Asian man;
  •         5ft 5 inches tall;
  •         Of slim build;
  •         With short grey hair, and brown eyes. 
  •         He was wearing black pants and a long-sleeved red shirt at the time of his disappearance.

Pushparj was reportedly very intoxicated when last seen, and family members are growing concerned for his well-being.
