Missing Indo-Canadian Woman Turns Up Dead As IHIT Called In To Investigate

Missing Indo-Canadian woman from Surrey has turned up dead as the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called in to investigate. IHIT has taken conduct of Navdeep Kaur’s disappearance investigation that began in February 2024. On February 23, Navdeep Kaur, 28, of Surrey, was reported missing by her family, to the Surrey RCMP. After an extensive investigation by the Surrey RCMP’s Missing Persons Unit, evidence was collected that has led investigators to believe that Kaur may be a victim of foul play.

SURREY – Missing Indo-Canadian woman from Surrey has turned up dead as the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called in to investigate.
IHIT has taken conduct of Navdeep Kaur’s disappearance investigation that began in February 2024.
On February 23, Navdeep Kaur, 28, of Surrey, was reported missing by her family, to the Surrey RCMP. After an extensive investigation by the Surrey RCMP’s Missing Persons Unit, evidence was collected that has led investigators to believe that Kaur may be a victim of foul play.
As a result, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has taken conduct of the investigation and will be working closely in partnership with the Surrey RCMP, the Integrated Forensic Identification Section and the BC Coroners Service to advance the investigation.
Navdeep Kaur was last seen on February 22 at 10:30 p.m. in the 7800-block of 123 Street, in Surrey. She is described as 28-years-old, South Asian (Indo-Canadian), 5’5, 125lbs, with long black hair, and brown eyes.
IHIT is the largest homicide unit in Canada, responsible for investigating homicides, suspicious deaths, and high-risk missing persons where foul play is suspected.
“Investigators are working to learn as much as possible about Navdeep, and her movements leading up to her disappearance on February 22 says Corporal Esther Tupper of IHIT “We’re asking anyone who has had recent contact with Navdeep, or anyone with information, to please call IHIT immediately.”
