Indo-Canadian Trucker From Brampton Busted For Smuggling $3.5 Million Cocaine Into Canada

The CBSA arrested the driver, Harvinder Singh, 25, of Brampton and transferred him to the custody of RCMP officers from the Windsor Detachment who are continuing with the investigation. He will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia on April 20.
BRAMPTON - A Brampton truck driver has been charged after $3.5 million worth of cocaine was found in a vehicle crossing into Canada from the U.S.
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) reports that on March 31 a commercial vehicle entered Canada using the Blue Water Bridge in Sarnia.
During the original inspection, the driver was referred to a secondary examination where border agents discovered 62 kg of the drug. The seizure is vale at $3.5 million.
The CBSA arrested the driver, Harvinder Singh, 25, of Brampton and transferred him to the custody of RCMP officers from the Windsor Detachment who are continuing with the investigation.
Singh has been charged with importation of a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking, both contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
He will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia on April 20.
