Interpol at the behest of India’s Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has issued a Red Corner Notice against Goldy Brar in connection with the killing of Sidhu Moose Wala on MY 29. CBI stated that on June 2, the Red Notice proposal was immediately transmitted to Interpol headquarters in Lyon after being processed for confirmation of pre-requisite procedures.

NEW DELHI – India’s Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has finally asked Interpol to issue a Red Corner Notice (RCN) against Satinderjeet Singh alias Goldy Brar in connection with the murder of popular Punjabi rapper Sidhu Moose Wala.

Canada-based Brar took responsibility for the murder of Moose Wala on behalf of Lawrence Bishnoi. Satinderjit Singh, alias Goldy Brar, is a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and a resident of Sri Muktsar Sahib, who travelled to Canada on a student visa in 2017.

According to a senior CBI officer, the procedure for his extradition to India would begin when the RCN is issued.

The senior CBI official told ANI, "The RCN has been issued. The CBI liaison officer will coordinate with Interpol and a proposal will be moved through the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) for extradition."

Earlier in the day, CBI had issued a clarification about the issuance of a Red Corner Notice (RCN) against Goldy Brar by the Punjab Police.

CBI in a statement said that they received issuance of RCN from the Bureau of Investigation, Punjab Police on May 30, 2022, through an e-mail.

According to the CBI, a copy of a letter dated May 19, 2022, was attached to the e-mail. On May 30, 2022, a printed copy of a similar proposal was received from Punjab police in IPCU, CBI, New Delhi, according to the statement.

CBI further stated that on June 2, the Red Notice proposal was immediately transmitted to Interpol headquarters in Lyon after being processed for confirmation of pre-requisite procedures.

The investigation agency said in a statement, "CBI has been assisting all Law Enforcement Agencies in the matter of international cooperation and committed to assist in the best possible manner through various international channels."

As per reports, the Red Corner Notice proposal was sent on the basis of two cases. In the first case, the FIR was registered on November 12, 2020, and in the second case, the FIR was registered on February 18, 2021. Both the cases were registered in the City Faridkot police station.
