An Indian man who dangerously drove away from police at a large gathering at a Brampton strip mall is wanted on multiple charges, police said. BRAMPTON – An Indian man who dangerously drove away from police at a large gathering at a Brampton strip mall is wanted on multiple charges, police said.

Peel Regional Police are seeking the public’s help in locating the driver, identified as Gurpreet Singh, of a car allegedly involved in a dangerous driving incident in Brampton.

On Saturday, Oct. 21, at around 10:30 p.m., police received multiple calls regarding vehicles driving at the College Plaza parking lot, according to a media release.

Police said officers arrived on the scene and observed a black Jeep Wrangler allegedly performing several, reckless manoeuvres while endangering pedestrians in the area.

After a brief interaction with officers, police say the driver of the black Jeep sped away. According to police, the black Jeep accelerated through the crowded parking lot in a dangerous manner, striking a traffic sign on the way out.

The driver has been identified as a 26-year-old man from Brampton. He is believed to be evading police, and a warrant of arrest has been issued. He is being sought in connection with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, obstruction of a peace officer and flight from a peace officer.
