IHIT Takes Over Investigation Into Suspicious Death In Surrey

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT)has now taken over an investigation into a suspicious death. On May 26, at 8:43 pm, Surrey RCMP was called to Hazelnut Meadows Park located near 140 Street between 68 Avenue and 70 Ave. Upon police attendance, a deceased man was located, whose injuries were consistent with suspected foul play. This area has a lot of Indo-Canadian-South Asian population but it is not known if the victim is from the community as his identity has not been revealed by police.

SURREY - The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT)has now taken over an investigation into a suspicious death.
On May 26, at 8:43 pm, Surrey RCMP was called to Hazelnut Meadows Park located near 140 Street between 68 Avenue and 70 Ave. Upon police attendance, a deceased man was located, whose injuries were consistent with suspected foul play.
This area has a lot of Indo-Canadian-South Asian population but it is not known if the victim is from the community as his identity has not been revealed by police.
IHIT investigators will be working in partnership with the Surrey RCMP. Investigators are asking for dash cam video for May 26 between the time frame of 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm in the area of 68 Avenue and 140 Street, Surrey.
Police are currently in the evidence gathering phase. Further details and media availability will be handled by the IHIT Media Relations Officer.
