Music producer-singer Harj Nagra and another rising young music producer-singer Deep Jandu’s single Kyon has topped the charts and has been trending high as No. 2 across continents from Europe to Asia to North America.

SURREY – Surrey-based Music producer-singer Harj Nagra and another rising young music producer-singer Deep Jandu’s single Kyon has topped the charts and has been trending high as No. 2 across continents from Europe to Asia to North America.  

Kyon is Nagra and Toronto-based Jandu's first collaboration and judging by the response the track and the hip-hop style video has garnered in India, UK and North America with millions of views and trending as high as number 2 on the South Asian music charts, the collaboration has been pure Gold.

Nagra, who’s debut track All Night was also well received, hopes to do more collaborations with fellow music producer Jandu, who has been the Go-To Guy for hit Dance music desi tracks by the likes of Mankirat Aulakh with superhit tracks Gangland and Badnam.

Nagra has been a top Bhangra music producer for some time now but this son of a famous Bobby Nagra (the well known businessman and Punjabi arts impresario) turned vocalist with his first solo track called All Night, which released worldwide a few years ago.

The new track marks a major step forward for Nagra, who also had a significant role in the Amrinder Gill film Love Punjab. There are also plans underway to launch Nagra into Punjabi film world with his team looking for the right project to team up on. There may also be a project with Gippy Grewal but that's hush, hush for now.

Films would be the next natural step for Harj Nagra to take which his famous father only dreamed of taking himself (Bobby Nagra acted in a number of Punjabi films and even taught acting in Vancouver) but it’s also the culmination of many years of the Nagras devoting themselves to Indo-Canadian arts and music scene here in Vancouver and globally through artists like Jazzy B. and Sukshinder Shinda.

Khyon, which also  features UK rapper Roach Killa along with Nagra and Jandu, was released on January 8 by Times Music and has been on fire ever since.

Nagra, who has already had worldwide success with Range Rover & Dil Vaarda over the last few years, is a busy producer with tracks with diverse artists like Jazzy B and many others. Even Sharry Maan and Gippy Grewal are knocking on his doors for music for their upcoming tracks.
