Great Artist: Gulzar Saab Delights Vancouver Art Lovers!
- September 20, 2019
The art of Gulzar Saab is so deep and wide that no ocean can contain it and it’s waves transform those who are lucky enough to be immersed in it.

It was an art and poetry lover’s dream come true last Sunday night to see a living legend Gulzar Saab (Sampooran Singh Kalra) at an exclusive engagement at Surrey’s Bell Centre. Gulzar is an artist of such high caliber and it was truly a pleasure for the packed crowd to see him in person right here in our city thanks to KVP showman Kamal Sharma, who was able to convince Gulzar’s team to perform in Vancouver, the only Canadian city on the exclusive 6 city Ek Ehsas Tour.
A very memorable evening of poetry, story-telling and music, celebrating the vast career of sheer greatness of Gulzar Saab’s songs, poetry, film music and everything in between.
The art of Gulzar Saab is so deep and wide that no ocean can contain it and it’s waves transform those who are lucky enough to be immersed in it.
The great man said his art is not a singular passion but a shared gift because no Man can achieve greatness if he is not deeply involved in his community, his society as art is an inspiration from the People!
Following Sunday Night’s show, an exclusive party was held at Surrey’s Taj Parkto celebrate and honour Gulzar Saab by promoter Kamal Sharma.
The great Artist enjoyed the wonderful performances by local artists including a 11-year-old girl named Awasti, who gave such an assured speech way beyond her years that absolutely delighted Gulzar Saab. This girl could easily be the first Indo-Canadian Prime Minister. The young Girls’ Bhangra team from Shan-e-Punjab also delighted Gulzar Saab. A Wonderful evening with a great Artist!
