They spoke to numerous of Grewal’s victims, including Mahesh, who came to Australia from India and had big plans to give his family a better life.
But more than three years after engaging the founder of the Alaxia Group in August 2021, their home in Riverstone, north west Sydney, is nothing more than a shell.
"When I signed the contract, I was told, within six months, you'll be getting into your house with your family," Mahesh told A Current Affair.
"The total contractual value was 402k of which I have paid him $300,000.
"I feel cheated, completely cheated."
Mahesh claims Grewal refused to send tradesmen to his site unless he coughed up more cash.

"I was called to their office and asked to pay an additional $40,000 on top of my fixed price contract," he said.
"My wife lost her job. Even during that situation, I agreed to pay him that upfront amount, just for one reason that I wanted no further delays."
The family of four are renting a two-bedroom apartment, all while they pay a mortgage on their half-built home.

While his customers live in limbo, Sippy has gold class tickets to some of Bollywood's biggest movie premiers alongside brother Gippy, who is a popular Indian actor and singer.
Grewal's banner company, Alaxia Group, consists of five subsidiary businesses, which are currently being investigated by Building Commission NSW.
The Commission cancelled the contractor licence of one of his businesses, Adelson Home Improvements, in July and in June suspended the contractor licence of Eco Smart Builders Pty Ltd.

The license for Alaxia Solar was cancelled in November.
A Building Commission NSW spokesperson told A Current Affair the commission was "focused on lifting standards and rebuilding trust in the construction industry and will take action against builders found to be doing the wrong thing".
