In celebration of Cycling4Diversity’s 10th Anniversary, our team is spinning next week to celebrate Cycling4DiversityWeek in our province from May 16 to the 22nd. Founder Ken Herar said, “My main objective 10 years ago was to build awareness of the cultural divisions that exist in communities and throughout our province. My goal today is still the same and with more passion. As our communities grow and become more diverse the key to keeping our community inclusive and together is raising awareness and discussion on this very topic. “

MISSION - In celebration of Cycling4Diversity’s 10th Anniversary, our team is spinning next week to celebrate Cycling4DiversityWeek in our province from May 16 to the 22nd.

“Over the past decade our C4D team has accomplished a lot together visiting close to 150 schools and in building on this momentum I think it’s important to celebrate this anniversary through Spinning4Diversity, due to Covid protocols. Creating  a live discussion online on ways we can break barriers with each other and listen to various opinions creates a solid foundation for the future”, said Herar.

On Tuesday, May 16th, our virtual event will  be launched from 2:00- 3:00 until Saturday, May 22nd. Next week is also Cycling4Diversity Week in our province. Herar explains, “Our C4D team encourages all to break any divisions that exist and make new friends and close the gap. After the week,  my plan is to continue spinning and creating continued dialogue throughout the summer through virtual conversations.”

“A key component to diversity messaging is if our differences are keeping us apart and if we’re not all treated as equals then I believe diversity is not working to its full potential.”
