A South Asian man accused of exposing himself to an employee at Langara College last March has been convicted of an indecent act and sentenced to jail. Christopher Ram pleaded guilty to the March 27, 2022 offence, as well as another indecent act that occurred April 17 at Foster Park, near Kingsway and Boundary Road. He was sentenced last week in Provincial Court.

VANCOUVER – A South Asian man accused of exposing himself to an employee at Langara College last March has been convicted of an indecent act and sentenced to jail.

Christopher Ram, 36, pleaded guilty to the March 27, 2022 offence, as well as another indecent act that occurred April 17 at Foster Park, near Kingsway and Boundary Road. He was sentenced last week in Provincial Court.

Ram was arrested on May 1, 2022 while walking near Main Street and Terminal Avenue after police released a photo of him as part of their investigation into three indecent acts performed at Langara College in March and April of that year.

At the time of his arrest, Ram was also wanted in relation to two other indecent acts performed in B.C.

In all cases, Ram exposed his genitals to women.

Ram was sentenced to 30 days jail and 18 months of probation, in addition to time already served since his arrest.
