NANAIMO – The Nanaimo RCMP has lighted two officers including an Indo-Canadian in their Behind The Badge series.
Constable Jatinder “JT” Dhadda arrived just two months ago, after graduating from the RCMP Training Academy in Regina.
Brennon Hahn has been serving for three years and is continuing to grow in his role here in Nanaimo.
Both officers were kind enough to share a little about who they are outside the uniform, so our community can get to know the people behind the badge.

Constable Jatinder “JT” Dhadda
JT is a motorcycle enthusiast and is looking forward to warmer weather so he can explore more of Vancouver Island on two wheels.
He’s passionate about hockey and gets out on the ice whenever he can.
He speaks three languages — a skill that’s already proving invaluable in his work.
Before joining the RCMP, JT worked in accounting (he’ll tell you policing is slightly more exciting than spreadsheets!)
His proudest accomplishment is becoming a new father. His baby boy has quickly become the centre of his world.
Constable Brennon Hahn
With three years of service, Brennon isn’t calling himself a “senior officer” quite yet — but he’s well on his way.
Before policing, he worked as an electrician specializing in large‑scale automation systems.
Originally from Langley, Brennon is now happily settled in Nanaimo with his wife and their dog.
On his days off, he enjoys skiing, playing hockey, and spending quality time with his family.
Brennon is currently posted to the Youth Unit as a Youth Liaison Officer — a position he loves because it gives him the chance to build positive connections with young people in our community.
We’re proud to have JT and Brennon as part of our detachment and grateful for the dedication they bring both on and off duty. If you see them around Nanaimo, don’t hesitate to say hello!
