ABBOTSFORD – First degree murder charges have been laid against the husband after an Indo-Canadian woman was killed in Abbotsford Thursday.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT), in partnership with the Abbotsford Police Department (AbbyPD), have obtained charges against a 48-year-old Inderjit Sandhu in the death of Kamaljit Sandhu.
On July 28,, at around 4:44 p.m., Abbotsford Police Department (AbbyPD) responded to an assault at a residence in the 2900-block of Eastview Street, in Abbotsford. On arrival, AbbyPD found a 45-year-old Kamaljit Sandhu with serious injuries, who was treated by paramedics but sadly, died at the scene.
AbbyPD located her husband Inderjit at the scene and took him into custody. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) was contacted, and now has assumed control of the investigation.
