SURREY – Businessman Manjit Litt, who moved to Vancouver with his UK fortune to make more money in the burgeoning property market in BC, has suffered a tragedy with his only son Aman Litt dying from heart-attack on Sunday.

Aman Litt was 46-years-old but had health issues relating to substance abuse, according to close family sources.

DESIBUZZCanada Editor-Founder R. Paul Dhillon remembers Aman Litt from a time he came out with his friends to the annual Hopscotch Festival, which showcased various types of liquor at the PNE.

“Aman seemed like a very personable and friendly person and he was mostly quiet in the limo but he seemed in good health and spirits that night,” Dhillon said.

Starting out in England in the local meat business, Manjit Litt moved to Canada several years ago along with his son and his daughter to set up property development and construction business in Surrey. Litt’s wife passed away from cancer several years ago.

Number of UK politicians and business people including MP Varinder Sharma, Gurmel Singh Malli, Sohan Singh Sumra, Himmat Singh Sohi, Sukhdev Singh Aujla, Daljit Singh Sahota, Gurcharan Singh Sujapur, Paramjit Singh Randhawa, Councilor Raju Sansarapuri, and other UK's leading personalities expressed their grief at Litt family’s loss.

Aman Litt’s funeral will be held on April 12 at 10am at Five River Funeral Home in Surrey followed by last rites prayer at Gurdwara Dukh Niwaran Sahib Surrey.
