FASHION FILE With R. Paul Dhillon

Designers Parvesh-Jai fronted Bridal Fashion Week made a timid debut this weekend that brought some top designers from India and locally together for a three day shindig.

DESIBUZZbc attended the VIP reception and fashion show Saturday at the Vancouver Convention Centre with our actor friend Dasaundha Kaler.

Had a great time running into many local fashionistas, including Surrey mayor Linda Hepner wearing her designer Indian wear, taking a break from all the shootings and mayhem in Surrey at a safe haven in Vancouver. Lol!

The attendees were treated to a number of fashion shows, including one by the organizers Parvesh-Jai!

Good presentation with live singing featuring rising music star Kirti Arneja. It was good start for the former Indian, now Surrey-based designers’ new venture even though it may not be up to India fashion show standards.

A former Stardust editor attending the show told DESIBUZZbc the same thing that it's good for Vancouver but wouldn't cut it in Mumbai or Delhi.

But a great effort and they can build from it! A fun evening in any case!
