The Opposition has been pushing hard against Sims ever since they got hold of her fired staff Kate Gillie and her pile of allegations against Sims, everything from circumventing the Freedom of Information Act to Sims writing sponsorship letters for 10 Pakistanis, allegedly in exchange for funds. DESIBUZZ Sources told us that BC Liberals’ Indo-Canadian cronies have been phoning around to get as much dirt on Sims as possible that would secure more fallout for her and she would be forced to resign as Minister. We are unsure what they have gathered further on Sims but on Wednesday evening, they forwarded the allegations against Sims to the RCMP for investigation.

VICTORIA — Unable to really dent Premier John Horgan and his NDP’s voter-friendly legislative agenda including their hard push to get rid of “Dirty Money” in not just BC’s real-estate but in every facet of the province’s business, the BC Liberals have found Citizens Services Minister Jinny Sims as their main target to get at the governing party.

BC Liberals sent allegations made by a whistleblower Gillie against Sims’s office to the RCMP Wednesday evening.

Liberal house leader Mary Polak sent documents to RCMP’s E Division Wednesday evening, as well as to the assistant deputy attorney general in charge of the criminal justice branch, reported the Province newspaper.

“In our capacity as the official Opposition, we have received information that relates to alleged conduct of the minister of citizens’ services, Jinny Sims, that we believe warrants investigation,” wrote Polak. “We are sending it to you for your consideration and review.”

Sims, who  has been under fire for weeks based on allegations from fired former Sims’ constituency assistant Gillie, has denied the allegations, describing the allegations as part of a “difficult human resources” matter involving a former employee.

A Surrey Liberal MP involved in the visa applications of the same Pakistanis said he’s unsure if eight of the 10 people Sims endorsed were rejected for security reasons and is unclear if they were on a security watch list.

If the RCMP decide to investigate Sims, they would typically obtain a special prosecutor to oversee the independence of the investigation, reported Province newspaper.
