Indian Government Continues To Interfere In Canada With Divisive, Anti-Sikh Agenda!

While all the talk focuses on China being the biggest foreign interference in Canada while India clearly is a much bigger nuisance with its divisive and ant-Sikh agenda and now it seems to have found people within Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government to spread dangerous misinformation and lies propagated by Indian government backed fake news outlets like Zee News.  A statement from government whip Mark Holland said his office was made aware last week that Brampton MP Ramesj Sangha was making "baseless and dangerous" accusations against a number of his colleagues. Sources told CBC News Sangha made disparaging comments about former minister Navdeep Bains, who is Sikh. Bains stepped down from the federal cabinet last month because he is not running again in the next election, citing family reasons. But Indian government backed fake-news outlets have done a number of stories against Bains that have been used by anti-Sikh forces to discredit Bains and spread lies against him, which were also parroted by Sangha.

OTTAWA – While all the talk focuses on China being the biggest foreign interference in Canada while India clearly is a much bigger nuisance with its divisive and ant-Sikh agenda and now it seems to have found people within Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government to spread dangerous misinformation and lies propagated by Indian government backed fake news outlets like Zee News.

Brampton Centre MP Ramesh Sangha, who has been busy spreading lies against former minister Navdeep Bains, has been removed from the Liberal Party caucus.

Sangha, a former lawyer who was first elected in 2015, was kicked out of the federal Liberal party on Monday and will now sit as an Independent.

A statement from government whip Mark Holland said his office was made aware last week that Sangha was making "baseless and dangerous" accusations against a number of his colleagues, including Bains.

While Holland did not specify what those accusations entailed, it seems Bains was the target of Sangha, who is seen in a video making his nonsensical and idiotic claims in Punjabi against Bains.

Sources told CBC News Sangha made disparaging comments about Bains, who is Sikh.

Holland said he consulted with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and took the “necessary steps” to expel Sangha from the governing party’s caucus.

“As we have made clear time and time again, we will not tolerate conspiracy theories, or dangerous and unfounded rhetoric about parliamentarians or other Canadians,” Holland said.

“Unfortunately, it is not uncommon for many Canadians to experience suspicions because of their background; we all know where this can lead. The Liberal caucus continues to stand firm against racism and intolerance.”

This is not the first time Sangha has made baseless accusations. He has in the past accused his party of pandering to Sikh separatists.

Just before the 2019 federal election, the National Post reported that Sangha had given a Punjabi-language interview in which he suggested Trudeau’s Sikh cabinet ministers support an independent Sikh homeland — Khalistan — in the Punjab region of India.

"There is no doubt, there cannot be two opinions that the Liberal Party is pandering [to] Khalistan supporters," the Post quoted Sangha as saying in an interview on 5AAB, a Punjabi-language channel based in Mississauga, Ont. "One thing is for sure, when we raise this issue, it will raise an anti-India slogan or demand the division of India on some ground. In that, ultimately our relations, the Canada-India relationship will certainly develop cracks."

The Khalistani movement is a Sikh independence movement that seeks to establish an independent Sikh state called Khalistan.
