SURREY – Indo-Canadian gangster or as police like to call them “Known to Police” Bikramjit “Bicky Khakh who survived an earlier shooting in Richmond was gunned down Friday night in Surrey.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) is requesting public assistance to further its investigation into Khakh’s murder.
Young Indo-Canadian men continue to be serially murdered with police basically just collecting dead bodies with little in the ways of arrests or charges in these ongoing killings that has claimed over 200 South Asian men.
In December, Khakh was with his associate when the other man was shot at Lansdowne Mall. Khakh wasn’t injured, but the other man, Harb Dhaliwal, suffered serious injuries during the Dec. 21 attack in Richmond, reported the Vancouver Sun.
But the gangster lifestyle caught up with Khakh on Friday when the 30-year-old was shot to death in Surrey around 7:20 p.m.
It was around that time that Surrey RCMP received a report of a man shot at a residence in the 13900-block of 58A Avenue. Emergency services arrived to find the Surrey resident Khakh dead with gunshot wounds.
A white four-door Mercedes sedan was seen quickly leaving the area after the shooting.
At approximately 7:30 p.m., the Surrey RCMP was alerted to a burning vehicle in the area of Colebrook Road at King George Boulevard, approximately 3 kilometers away from the scene of the shooting.
Detectives believe the two incidents are linked and are asking anyone with information to come forward. Drivers with dash cam video who were travelling in the area yesterday evening are asked to contact IHIT immediately.
IHIT is working closely with its partners from the Surrey RCMP, the Integrated Forensic Identification Services and the B.C. Coroners Service to gather evidence.
Police said Khakh was known to police and his murder is believed to be linked to the ongoing gang conflict in the lower mainland.

Khakh was a one-time associate of Manny Buttar, who had more recently been aligned with the Brothers Keepers gang. He was also arrested by Vancouver Police in 2010 in a crackdown related to a South Slope gang conflict.
In 2012, he was handed a two-year conditional sentence for break and enter after being convicted with another then-Buttar associate. Firearm charges he faced were dropped, reported the Sun.
